Engineering
studio
An engineering approach applied to astrophotography. Specifications, measurements, iterations: every tool stems from a field need, under real skies

/01
Origin
CaeloWorks is an instrument-publishing studio dedicated to astrophotography. The studio designs and distributes web services, applications, firmware and hardware under independent brands, each scoped to its domain of use.

Method
Every product follows a short cycle: spotting a field gap, writing a measurable specification, prototype, iteration under the sky, public documentation. The quality of a tool is verified in real conditions (under variable seeing and actual atmospheric turbulence, on FITS and XISF images straight from the acquisition chain), not in a lab.

Umbrella brands
CaeloWorks releases its creations under five independent brands: DocStellar (AI diagnosis of astrophoto image defects, FITS and XISF included), WinStellar (FITS & XISF viewer integrated into Windows Explorer), NINA Plugins (catalogue of N.I.N.A. plugins by CaeloWorks: benchmark, automation and more), PixInsight Scripts (catalogue of PixInsight scripts by CaeloWorks: distributed WBPP, dark frame analysis and more) and CaeloTargets (night planner: tonight's deep-sky targets, scored for your field of view and your horizon). Further brands will appear as projects develop, always aligned with a precise technical domain.

Commitments
- Instrumental precision: stated tolerances, published measurements.
- Software sobriety: measured resources, reduced dependencies.
- Open documentation: protocols, schematics, file formats.
- Long iteration: a maintained tool is worth more than a new one.
